Procedure

 

Title: The Best Tasting Water

Objective: To discover what kind of water tastes the best such as bottled Water from the companies Dasani, Aquafina, Evian and filtered Brita and Campbell River water.

Hypothesis:My hypothesis is that the bottled water will taste better because people are buying it all the time which probably means tht people think it's better tasting water.

Materials:

-Dasani bottled water

-Evian bottled water

-Aquafina bottled water

-Tap Water from Campbell River

-Water from Campbell River filtered with Brita

-Cups

-15 tasters

Variables:

Independent:

-The water

Dependent:

-The taste of the people

Control:

-The temperature of the water

-The amount of water given to each person

-The 15 people

Procedure:

1.Make a chart that has a scale from one to five for how good it taste for all five samples of water.

2.Put numbers on each cup so that you know which is which and so that the tasters don't know what water they're tasting.

3.Pour 25ml of water into each cup 15 times for each type of water.

4.Get 15 volunteers to taste the water.

5.Give the scale and water to 15 people to taste it.

6.Repeat this procedure 5 times with the same 15 people.
