My project is based on the sleeping habits of domestic dogs and if they're sleeping process is disturbed my artificial light. In the wild dogs and other cousin of the dog family are not disturbed my artificial lights. But when a domestic dog is sleeping in the house with people turn on and off the lights. If when I enter the room to find my dog sleeping and I have turned on the do I disturb my dogs sleeping habits? That is my question that I am hoping to have answered.
I will test five dogs since they are the primary animal that comes to mind when you are thinking about domesticated animals. If my calculations are correct my project should take no longer than two months to find the correct answer.
Are domesticated animals' sleeping habits affected my artificial light? I believe that if the dog begins to sleep with the lights on then they will not because they will adapte to the brightness with they're eyes closed, however if the lights are off the when the dogs eyes are closed the room will seem extra dark and then it will be more noticable when the lights are turned on.
