Test 3

Test three consisted of two picture the cases were required to copy. I created the pictures to be simple but still have a mesh of different colors:

For the first picture, it is just a basic red, green, blue and yellow design. It is used to see if people can differentiate colors when black is surrounding it and when it is hidden within the color. For example, on the top left of the first picture, it goes red, green then red again. Each color is surrounded by black. I used this to see if people could differentiate colors when they were distinctively separate. On the bottom part, the green is hidden in the red, I wanted to see if people could tell that there were letters within the colors.

For the second picture, it is different combinations of colors put together, this was to tell what colors different people would have difficulty differentiating. I put the most common colors that people could not differentiate in different orders and I tried to find patterns between the people.

I gave them 8 markers, red, blue, green, yellow, brown, purple, orange and black. I gave them the same markers I used to create the drawing. But I covered the markers in tin foil so they could not tell what color it was. Then I labeled each marker with its name and told them to copy my drawing. Here are some of the drawings people drew: (the errors have arrow pointing to them)
