There are three different kinds of cloning; identical twins that aren't natural, the nuclear technology transfer and real cloning. Identical twins have all the same genes-that's the reason they're identical-and can be made in laboratories. Scientists simply have to divide the zygote (fertilized egg) in half. However, this must be done before the cells divide themselves. Scientists have tried using this method to clone humans, but have never succeeded. The nuclear technology transfer is when the DNA and nucleus (center) of a molecule and then put it into another cell. This must be done before the cells develop. When the cells develop, they become a cell of a certain part of your body, for example a certain brain or muscle. When they do that they start to only use the DNA of that part of your body. Real clones are made with adult animals, so scientists must first force the cells to use all the DNA. They then transfer that DNA to a non-fertilized egg of the same species. When the egg is fertilized, the baby uses the DNA put there to form and it looks identical to the animal that the DNA was taken from because they have all the same genes! A goat, Dolly, was successfully created like that recently. WARNING: don't try this at home with your pet dog or cat, your parents won't be happy. Many people believe that scientists who work on cloning are crazy people who want to have the power of God in their hands. Here are the 4 main reasons why people support cloning:

1) They want to support scientific research

2) They want to make a copy of themselves

3) They want to create a superhuman race

4) They want to give their babies the intelligence or the beauty of another person
