Project Profile

The Cars of the Future Team is made up of grade 7 students from the Greater Vancouver Distance Education School.

Each student researched their own topic and constructed their own website based on a template developed in an online classroom environment. Using weekly onine discussions we linked our ideas together to make this group project. We learned as much about communicating through the Internet as we did about the topics we chose.

We hope you enjoy our project and our ideas about cars in the future.

Flying Cars

Gavin Brockway

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a family of seven (two brothers, mom and dad my dogs and a cat). I chose to do a project on flying cars because every day I look out the window and see roads everywhere. Traffic jams everywhere and there is almost always pollution in the air. I decided that we needed a healthier, safer and faster way to get around. I think flying cars is the answer.

Hi there I'm Malika Lim & I'm 12.
I live in Vancouver B.C. Canada.
I think we all should be using alternate fuels because we are all using limited fuels that are not coming back.
I chose this fascinating subject because
I can see the pollution and the damage that everyone is causing. Let's make sure the next generation has a better life!
Solar Cars Travis Booth My name is Travis and I'm 12 years old and I like to play with all sorts of electric guizzmos and my project is SOLAR CARS. In my project I tested what coloured light works best on a solar car.
Back seat driver Mr. Steve Lott

Are flying cars in the future of travel, or are they just a curiousity for inquiring minds. To be sure, the search for better transportation systems can take us in many directions. Why not start with the sky as the limit?

We'll be back down to earth soon enough.
