Procedure

Objective: To determine which type of pill dissolves and spreads the fastest throughout the body, out of vitamins and pain killers.

Hypothesis: We think that the "Advil Liquid Gels" will dissolve the fastest because after the capsule dissolves, the liquid would spread faster than a solid.

Materials:

Variables:

Independant- The independant variable of the Prime Dissolver is the type of pills.

Dependant- The dependant variable is the dissolving of the pills.

Control- The control variable is the bowl of water at body temperature.

Procedures list:

1) Fill a large bowl with water.

2) Use a thermometer to make sure the water is at body temperature.

3) Drop the first painkiller/vitamin into the bowl while starting the timer.

4) Take pictures of the pill while dissolving.

5) Wait for the dissolving pill to complete diffusion, spreading throughout the entire bowl.

6) Stop the time on the timer when the pill has completely dissolved and spread throughout the bowl of water.

7) Record the time.

8) Refill bowl and repeat steps 2-7 until all 6 pills have been dissolved and recorded.
