Conclusion
Our goal of this project was to see which painkillers and vitamins dissolve and spread equally throughout the bowl of water. Our hypothesis was that the Advil Liquid Gel would be the fastest because liquid spreads faster than a solid.
In conclusion, our hypothesis was rejected. The Advil Lquid Gel actually took the longest to dissolve out of the painkillers.
The fastest painkiller was the Extra Strength Tylenol caplet, which took 8 minutes. The fastest vitamin was the Acidophilus capsule, which took 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Our error in this project was that the temperature of the water wasn't the same each time. This would possibly effect the time that it takes to dissolve.
If we did this project again we would change the substance that the pill dissolved in, which is called the solvent. The reason why we would change this is because it would be more accurate to the liquids in the stomach.
