1) First, we found volunteers with and without asthma.
2) We then measured the height of each volunteer.
3) Each volunteer was given a cardboard tube end with their name on it to keep each volunteer’s germs from mixing.
4) After each volunteers’ normal activity (nothing), we found their normal peak flow rate.
5) Next, we got each volunteer to test their peak flow rate, immediately following a quick jog of 108m.
6) Later, we filled a small room with a volume of 18.816m3 with about 3mL of Addidas Adrenaline perfume and sat each of the volunteers in the room for 1 minute before testing their peak flow rate.
7) After waiting 24 hours, we gave each of the volunteers a bowl of ice cream, weighing 100 grams, let them eat it at a moderate speed then tested their peak flow rate.
8) As another test, we took our volunteers into a car (so the fumes would not affect anyone else in the school), lit strawberry incense on fire, and had them sit in the car for 2 minutes. We then tested their peak flow rate.
9) We then got all the asthmatics to test their breathing rate after using their puffer once they completed each test.
