METHOD

1. Cut all the materials to the same size.
2. Take 2 cups of water annd pour it in the pot.
3. Pour 1 cup of car oil on top of the water.
4. Dip the gauze into the pot for ten seconds.
5. Take the gauze out and measure (you may use the measuring cup) and record how much oil it absorbed.
6. Repeat steps 4-5, refilling the oil amount each time you use a different material to absorb the oil.
7. Repeat all the steps with your second set of materials. Use vegetable oil instead of car oil,though. Record your results and compare.
