When I tested my experiment I noticed that the magma built up in huge bubbles floating from the mouth of the volcano until it burst, sending the lava down the side of the mouth. I noticed that when the magma flowed through the tube, it built up its energy until it erupted or became a bubble. Then I noticed that the harder I squeezed the tube, the more magma went squirting up out of the mouth, instead of flowing down the volcano’s crust. I wondered what would have happened if I added more baking soda, and if the volcano would have erupted differently if I used different solutions. An example is orange juice and baking soda.
