Title: How the Heart Listens
Goal: To determine if the heart rate changes with different pitches of sound.
Hypothesis: I think when people hear high pitches of sound, their heart rate will increase.
Materiels:
-twenty people
-one heart rate monitor
-one c.d. player
-one c.d.
-one computer
Variables:
Independant: Volume of sound.
Dependant: The heart rate when different pitches of sound are played.
Control: Individual tested types of sound.
Procedure:
1) Put high pitch and low pitch sounds onto a c.d.
2) Get a list of 20 people to test.
3) Play the sounds while monitering the heart rate.
4) Repeat 20 times.
5) Collect the heart rate data.
