(iv), Different participants could be given different doses of niacin and tested for relief based on the dosage;
(v), Doses could be spread out over the day such as taken once, twice or three times per day; and/or
(vi), symptoms could be grouped together and examined to see if niacin provided any significant relief between these groups. For example, symptoms could be placed into groups related to the eyes (puffy, itchy and watery), respiratory system (nose, throat, sneezing and coughs) and skin (hives and itch/irritation) and then these groups compared with regards to alleviation.
In closing, the study of methods effective in the management of annoying and potentially harmful symptoms associated with allergies is very important. The findings of this research indicate that increased focus should be placed on the study of nutrition and dietary supplementation such as niacin use and its role in the safe and comfortable management of allergy symptoms.
