More pollution?

The emissions that come from sources not on the road, like the equipment used for lawns and gardens and vehicles of construction, represents around 20 % of all the smog produced by the mobile sources in Canada. All though they pollute that much, marine engines are much less clean and efficient. In fact, the pollution produced by a speedboat in one hour is the same quantity as the pollution made by one new automobile that had just gone 8,000 kilometres.

Two time engines

A two time engine is an equipment that consists of mechanisms that a very simple but pollute more than a four time engine. They (the two time engines) do not have a valve to separate the effluents and the air charged with gasoline. Around 35% of fuel goes into the atmosphere as gas emission. A two time motor produces at an average of 280 grams of hydrocarbons. This concludes that two time engines are one of the marine motors that pollute the most.

How does a two time engine work?

*First, the candle explodes the compressed fuel.
*Then, the piston is propelled upwards.
*When the piston returns, the combustion gazes go into the canal d'échappement and leaves the boat.
*More gasoline in entered.
*The candle explodes the compressed fuel and it commences all over again.
