Synaptic Block
We predict that once the flow of calcium into a cell is blocked - a synapse will not occur. We conclude this because the polarity of the cell will be different than what is actually required during the formation of a action potential.
Two-Way synapses
We predict that if a stimulus is introduced - a action potential may travel in both directions - from the axon, towards the cell body, and away from the cell body - towards the axon.
Neuron Degeneration
We think that once the alcohol is added to the cell, rapid degeneration will occur; and the cell will die.
