Experiment #2:
With the addition of papaya to our pepper and water mixture, there was a significant temperature change and an increased exothermic reaction. The temperature rose after a period of time, which lead us to believe that, Thai chili peppers are on a time-release basis. After the mixture’s temperature rose to a climax of approximately 23?C, it did not increase or decrease beyond that point.
