Scientists suggest that in the future miniature home models of the CAT scan or MRI will be able to tell us whether or not fruit and vegetables are ripe and perform other tasks around the home.  Even without our own home models, X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs have made a large impact on society.  Without them, early diagnosis of brain tumors, cancer treatments, and groundbreaking biological research would be nonexistent and medical science would be very different.
