The plants grown with the addition of salt were 6.1 cm long.  The three others, which were grown normally, were 10.8 cm long.  The data shows that my hypothesis was true.  I thought that the ones that were grown with salt would grow a little and then die.  I also thought they would be smaller than the ones that are grown naturally.  By learning about the history of salt and its effects on plant growth, I assumed that salt was poisonous to plants.

The plants that were grown with salt have grown on average around 8mm per week.  They were fragile and could not hold themselves straight up.    The temperature would vary from week to week.  I was expecting that these plants would be around 7 cm long by the end of nine weeks but this was not the case.  I also thought that the receptacle of the plant would be thicker.  I found that the salt would act like steroids to the plants.

The plants that were grown normally grew on average around 1cm per week.  They were also fragile but can hold themselves straight.   For these plants, I was also expecting them to grow longer than they are right now.

The reason the plants did not grow exactly the same amount every week was because of the amount of heat that was transmitted by the sun was different.
