Conclusion

If we don’t change our ways in the near future, the human race will become extinct.  The current estimated population is 6.334 billion and growing rapidly.  In one minute 180 children are born and 25 children aged one to five die.  The rate of growth is slowing but since the population is so high, the population is still growing rapidly.  Those of us in first world countries need to live more simply so others can simply live.

What Can You Do to Make a Difference?

Reuse products as much as possible, fix broken items instead of replacing them.

bullet

Recycle whatever you can, and buy recycled products. This helps to promote recycling.

bullet

Consider trying to eat lower down on the food chain.  Being a vegetarian is easiest on the earth, but fish, chicken and pork are less resource demanding than beef.
