Problem
The problem this experiment investigated was how
to train a dog to come more efficiently and consistently to a high
pitched whistle. Our dog is a 17-month-old wheaten terrier that wasn’t
very obedient. We wanted to teach him to come to a whistle
inaudible to the human ear because we were always calling for him and
it was starting to annoy our neighbours. He needed some training!
We didn’t know anything about dog training so we got some books from
the library and learned how to train a dog. We were surprised by how
smart he was, because he learned to come to our command in only four
days.
