My goal is to determine the amount of pH, Potash, Nitrogen,
and Phosphorus in our soil because I'm curious to know why mom's garden
doesn't do too well. I will do that by a series of shake tests that
to discover the amount of soil nutrients in and around my Island soils.
I will gather six different samples around my community and take
pictures of each place. After gathering my samples, I am going to look
at them under a microscope. Then I will determine how much humus,
clay, and water is in the soil. After I have done this, I will start my
testing.
