And the final test... Can coca cola remove grease from clothes? Well, a site containing many very odd cleaning methods claims that a can of coke and a normal amount of soap in a normal cycle of a washing machine could completely remove grease! To test this, we found someone else's beautiful white shirt lying around (white's the best color because it shows any dirt or grease very clearly) and rubbed it allover a car engine. By the time we were done the shirt was covered in grease. So then we emptied a can of coke and some detergent into the washing machine along with the dirty shirt, and started a normal cycle. When it was finished we took the shirt out of the washing machine, and the shirt was completely ridden of grease! Tada! The magic of coca cola. WHY The detergent obviously helped clean, but the coke finished up by eating away at the grease and bubbling it away from the clothing. Then the soap removed the stickiness that comes with sugar filled beverages. |
