There is a rumor, that, in many states, the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident. Now, we didn't have the financing to make the long distance call to "many" states to find out whether or not they do, and where would the experiment be in that anyways? Instead, we bought a huge slab of cow, defrosted it, and dumped the blood on the concrete floor. fun. We let the blood sit on the floor for a good 20 minutes, letting it stain the concrete. Then we took a can's worth of coca cola classic and applied liberally. We gave it another ten minutes and then wiped the bloody coke off the floor with a cloth, completely removing any staining. WHY The carbonation in the coke helped bubble off the blood and the stain, while the acid helped dissolve it into the cola. Conclusion: Coca cola is a superior cleaning substance. |
