Trimethylxanthine Degradation Of Homo Sapien Precipitates

Our names are Alisha and Sophia Visanji and we are Grade 9 Students. We have created this website based on our Science Fair Project.

When you first read our title, you may not have any idea as to what we're talking about! That's why we thought we'd take some time to explain the title to you! To begin, Trimethylxanthine is another word for caffeine.  Degradation is the process by which something decreases.  Homo Sapiens is another word for human beings and precipitates is another word for a thick residue or stone.  Therefore, the title of our project can actually be restated as "The effect of caffeine on gallstones and kidney stones.

The animation that was displayed in our introduction page displays a kidney stone passing through the ureter.  The groaning sound has been added to simulate the extreme pain experienced when the kidney stone passes through the ureter. Our introduction page also displays a labeled diagram of both a gallbladder and liver as well as the kidneys, ureters and the urethra.
