Summary:    My study concerns the lunar effect, the effect of the lunar phase on events on Earth.  I conducted my study in order to investigate the rumors of a lunar effect on temperature and birth rates.  I found that over a twelve month period the temperatures did not appear to rise or fall with the lunar phase.  I also found that that 10 percent more infants were born during the new moon than on the full moon.

Software Tools:    Microsoft FrontPage

Source of the Idea:    Throughout my life I have heard people mention that more babies are born during the full moon and that the weather is warmer during the full moon.  I conducted this study to see if this were true.

Special Skills:    JavaScript

Awards:    This project won first place in the Leader Regional Science Fair 2003 and an Honorable Mention at the Canada Wide Science Fair 2003.
