Conclusion
I conclude that the lunar effect urban
legend is not just a myth. I have found that more infants are born around
the new moon than on any other lunar phase. However, to prove this theory
would take many more hours, perhaps even years, of research.
I have also found that the weather
does not appear to be effected by the lunar phase. I did read in an
article that two scientists by the names of Balling and Cervany studied the
possible effect of the moon on temperature. They discovered that five to
eight days before the full moon, the global temperature rose by less than a
degree Celsius.
