1) The group of plants fed with small amounts of Aspirin grew the best but had fewest visible roots. 2) The control group had one seed that germinated and grew later than the other seeds. This problem affected other groups as well. 3) The seed size may have affected the results. This could have been made more even but it didn't seem to matter (ref. Prof. Koning, Ph.D. Botany). 4) The leaves on the plants given 1/2 (40mg) an Aspirin had holes and were damaged. I don't know if this was the Aspirin or an accident. 5) The group given 1/2 (40mg) Aspirin seemed to take a few days to recover after each dose. 6) The group given 1 (80mg) Aspirin died. The plants went mouldy. 7) The second seed tray reproduced the results we expected for Aspirin doses less than 1/2 (40mg) an Aspirin. 8) Plants other than beans were affected in the same way. |
