Light and Colours have been designed and made by me, Andy King, so it can compete in a national virtual science fair called the Canada Wide Virtual Science Fair. The VSF attracts thousands of young Canadians who compete against each other to win hundreds of dollars. Children from kindergarten to students in Grade 12 can enter this contest. The works of these students are amazing, and every year these people push to the limits with their projects.

A short biography of me:      Hi, my name is Andy King. As you already learned, I am the webmaster of this site. I come from Calgary, Alberta, and go to a junior high school called Simon Fraser Junior High. Don’t get confused however, because there is a university called Simon Fraser in British Columbia. However, I go to Simon Fraser Junior High, not to the university in British Columbia. In my spare time, I like to go out and play sports, such as soccer, badminton, and baseball. I would also like to bike in my spare time. However, we do get a lot of homework on an average basis, so I really don’t have as much time to play sports anymore. I also like to surf the net, play online games, and make websites in my spare time. Another one of my favourite leisure activities is drawing.

Acknowledgements:

I would like to thank my grade 8 science teacher, Jacqueline Martin, for telling me about this contest. Mrs. Martin is one of the best teachers here in Canada. Without her, I would not have been able to enter this contest. She has stayed in the school for a countless number of hours helping students and motivating them to enter the contest. Even though she does not get any money for helping these students out, like me, she still helps edit our work and our grammar. My grammar and spelling can be really bad at times, and Mrs. Martin would try her best to help out with my spelling. There, I would like to thank you, for spending so many hours helping me and the other contestants from our school. Thank you Mrs. Martin.

I would also like to thank my parents and my family members. Building a site is long and tedious work, and therefore I had to kick my parents off of the computer so I can could it! They also have encouraged me to work on this project.

I would also like to thank my friends for also encouraging me to continue working on this project.

Finally, I would also like to thank Larry Oberg and everyone working in the Virtual Science Fair for making such a great and exciting contest.
