After 2 weeks, mortality of rice weevils exposed to whole pea flour was significantly increased compared to that of controls’ (Fig. 1).

A slight but not significant increase in mortality was noted in the red flour beetle exposed to whole pea flour, compared to controls after four weeks (Fig. 2).

Mortality of red flour beetle exposed to flours of testas and cotyledons was slightly, but not significantly, greater than that of controls’. (Table 1).

Kernels of wheat had been eaten through by the beetles.

When I counted the red flour beetles, I found that some had been cannibalized.
